I want to express my support for the mission and activities of Sustainable Delaware, in their efforts to improve the environmental sustainability of our city. I see many ways in which the campus can partner with the broader Delaware community on such projects as raising awareness of environmental issues, improving recycling and energy efficiency, enhancing walking and biking opportunities, and supporting local agriculture and urban forests. These partnerships represent great educational experiences for OWU students and opportunities for OWU faculty and staff to share expertise and learn from Delaware citizens.
